Why is my brake fluid blue? |
|
If you have recently had brake or clutch work done at our shop, your brake fluid may be blue. No need for alarm, we use ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid. It has a higher boiling point for an increased margin of safety. The color also allows us to make sure we have gotten all the old amber fluid out when we flush your brake fluid. You can add any DOT 4 brake fluid to your car in a pinch, and if a quicky lube tells you that you need a brake flush, tell them "No thanks, I have the best in my car already!" It's not dirty, it's blue, and there is a reason. Ask any member of the crew if you have any questions.
